Time to quilt it...

It's been a while since I've wrote. A lot of good things have been keeping me busy the last few months.

A few months ago I was lucky enough to attend a machine quilting feathers class at my local quilt shop. The world renowned Mark Sherman was the instructor! I had a blast and learned some great techniques. The most important tip was practice, practice, and, more practice. I need to get these quilt tops quilted!

Finally a finish...

I have so many UFO's to finish, but i really wanted to finally complete this one. I started it almost 2 years ago.

On to the next....after I machine quilt this one.

Machine Quilting

Today i gave machine quilting a try. I have quilt tops that are in desperate need of being quilted. I have a long way to go...practice, practice, practice!

I haven’t written in a LONG time. I’m happy to be back and I’m going to make an attempt to write on a regular basis.

A couple of months ago I received the best birthday gift ever...

My Bernina 44QE! I waited forever for it and I couldn’t be more pleased to have it. Since buying it I haven’t been able to “play” with it since we (my soon to be hubby and I) relocated to another State right after it was purchased. I’m not quite settled in yet, but I always have time to quilt! Now i can learn to machine quilt! Yay! I’ll be writing about my experiences as I learn to use my Bernina, as i try out new quilting techniques, and to simply have fun. Another purpose of this blog is to also meet other quilters and hopefully get inspired and learn something new.
